【搭配】be of great significance 意义重大的 ; give a new significance to 赋予…以新的含义；attach great significance to 对…高度重视

【例】It is a mistake to attach too much significance to these fluctuations. 过分重视这些涨落变动是错误的。

Nuclear developments have given a new significance to minerals which were but poorly regarded. 原子能的发给予过去不大受重视的矿物以新的含义。
